This week I finished the “tension on every page” exercise that I was doing on that middle grade adventure. It added an extra page to my story from all of the accumulated changes and hopefully a whole lot of tension. I also made some additional changes to the first quarter of my tale. Adding in an argument about armadillos, a mysterious sketch, and a puppy who was inexplicably able to fold socks! I think any story can be improved by adding a puppy who folds laundry…what do you think?
