This week I wrote chapters 11-16 of my Christmas novella idea. That put me over my 20,000 word goal, although I still have five chapters left to write in this rough draft. The chapters I wrote this week include the Second Pinch Point, The All Is Lost Moment, The Dark Night of the Soul, and the 75% point where you break into Act 3. I’m dividing things up according to Blake Snyder’s screenwriting book “Save the Cat” which has really helped me organize. Anyway, lots of stuff being written, next month the goal will be to turn all those words into something wonderful.
