This week I worked a little more on developing my submission materials for the upcoming conference. Then I went through the entire novella manuscript again, smoothing and polishing. Then I got the critique back from my best friend Sarah and she spotted several places that needed work. I jumped right into those and now my word count is 31,080 words! This puts me within the 30,000 to 35,000 word count that the editor we are going to see and pitch to requested. Now I must polish and revise within that 4,000 word gap and make sure that my story doesn’t grow beyond it.
