It is as though the fates have conspired against me (I just finished reading Percy Jackson) to force me to quit writing or something. I am “Snowflaking”, or organizing the material I will need to start writing my fourth novel length manuscript. I just have about a weeks worth of work to do and then I’ll be able to start on the rough draft. But I was only able to download the snowflake program onto The Hunky Hubby’s computer, mine refused. Well… some of the counselors took The Hunky Hubby’s computer out of his office and over to camp to play games on it. They did not return it for us. So I couldn’t write for several days. Then when The Hunky Hubby did bring it back he put in on the dinning room table until he could organize his office. Our 150 pound dog tripped over the cords on the way to his food dish and broke the thingy that makes the wireless keyboard and mouse work. So I couldn’t write. I bought us a new keyboard and finally have been able to get a little bit of snowflaking done.

I am on step#9 of the snowflake for my W.I.P. (work in progress) which is the last step before the rough draft. In this step I put all of my notes (from the napkins and random bits of paper where they are written) into a page that corresponds to each scene. This will be wonderfully helpful when I am finished and I will also be able to put revision notes into this space as I think of things that need fixing.

I thought that I would be writing my rough draft by now, but at least the computer is here and fixed and I am getting some work done. Yah!
