I finally got Overturned over the 50,000 word mark this week! YA books are allowed to be shorter than general fiction, but most people advise that they not be shorter than 50,000 words. Which as you know was not a problem before when this was one book. But I’ve just finished revising chapter fourteen and my word count is officially 50,400 which is a 676 word increase from last week. I should have the manuscript nicely over 50,000 once I get to my final chapter. And hopefully hopefully they will be good words that further the story as well.
