Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

As you may have already heard, we had a good many adventures at my best friend’s house this week, most of them harrowing. And so I am going to just give you a few cute quotes that are sure to bring joy and inner fulfillment to your weekend.

Sweet boy #2 was eyeing the swizzle stick that rested in Grandma Judy’s honey pot. After a moment of deep thought, he had a brilliant suggestion. “We should clean that. We should clean it on our tongues!”

I took sweet boy #2 to the potty and had asked how things were going. He explained: “But my pee goed into the dark-eh-ness.”

Sweet boy #3’s love for his pacifyer has gone to another level. He now cries for not one binky but two. One to suck on and one to hold in his hand.

But the winner this week…Sweet boy #1 volunteered to clean the crayon off our linolium even though it was sweet boy #2 that did the dirty deed. He explained this phenominum to me with a proud voice: “When I see messes, when I see coloring and you’re not scrubbing them, I love to scrub them!” What a sweetheart!

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

Maybe I could borrow sweet boy #1 for some scrubbing. I’m sure I
have some spots that need his tender loving care!

Maybe the pacifyer mizer is really just preparing to be one who
squirrels away treasures in the bank. Perhaps he will be the one
who has assets galore and can care for his parents in their old
age. One can always hope :0)

    Much love to you.
