Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The winner for the Harrowing Parent Moment of the week garnered its own post this week, but there were several memorable runners up.

I caught sweet boy #3 sticking his arm through the little crack in the under sink cupboard left by our baby lock and scavenging bread crusts out of the garbage.

Sweet boy #1 is really really enjoying the color by numbers book that his auntie got him. He awoke at 7:45 and rushed to get his colored pencils before eating or using the potty. Well, he was coloring by # with the hunky hubby and informed him in a serious tone that “You have a lot to learn about color by #s Daddy.”

I caught sweet boy #2 taunting sweet boy #3 with his pacifier. He had dropped the pacifier into a glass gallon jar, put the lid on, and was wiggling the tempting but unreachable oral soother in front of sweet boy #3’s face.

The dog had toted one of my snow boots up the stairs and into our living room and apparently sweet boy #3 had seen it. I carried an arm full of snow clothes up from our landing and dumped them over the baby gate. My one snow boot landed on top of the heap. Sweet boy #3 gave an urgent squeal, spun around and began toddling as fast as he could for the other side of the room, he fell down in his haste and continued, crawling rapidly. Then he found what he was looking for. My other boot. He picked it up and lugged it clear over to me and proudly plopped it down next to its match. He is so smart and sweet I can hardly contain myself.

The boys were helping me cook! Well, all of us had just put several shakes of rosemary into the crock pot. The big boys rushed to the spice cabinet and returned with the oregano. They said that it was “Noseberry” and they really really felt that it was that one vital component that our meal was lacking. So next time your meal is tasting a little flat, don’t fret. Just add Noseberry.

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

Things have been tasting kinda flat lately so I’m definitely going to try noseberry. What a great solution! Am soooo looking forward to seeing you and the others and playing at the zoo.

    Love to you.
