I’m not really sure if this is Harrowing or Heartwarming…but the boys found a new and marvelous activity this week. Washing chickens!

Yep, you heard me right. My brother’s family brought chickens with them when they came up for the summer and not only do the boys love cuddling the chickens and rocking the chickens, now they find great satisfaction in washing the chickens. Give a boy a hen and a damp paper towel and he is a happy camper for up to an hour. Washing away any unsightly filth that might have mussed his favorite fowl’s feathers. So if your kiddos are bored this summer, never fret. All you need is a few grungy chickens and some cleaning supplies (no harsh chemicals please) and your summer will be full of fun and entertainment!
