Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The boys playing Super Mario Galaxy and arguing about the identity of a certain substance on this one level.

Sweet Boy#3–“It’s Dark Matter!”

Sweet Boy#2–“No, it’s chocolate!”  Perhaps they have been watching too many science videos on BrainPop, either that or eating too much Easter chocolate.

Sweet Boy#3–is jumping around excitedly during Saturday morning video games and gets his foot stuck inside a box of sugary cereal.

Sweet Boy#1–I send a message to school that I am picking him up. He doesn’t hear the announcement and gets on the bus anyway. Amazingly there is a sub driving the bus. The sub is Choco The Hunky Hubby’s co-worker who happened to notice when I picked up Sweet Boy#2 at the other school and when he sees my car parked in front of Sweet Boy#1’s school he drops him off so that I pick him up with only a short delay.

But the winner this week…

Sweet Boy#3–I had been gone volunteering and going to Bible study, he told me he had been wanting to snuggle me all day. I curled up next to him in his bunk and he put his little arm around my shoulder and told me–“I forgot what it felt like, snuggling you, when I was missing you.”

Kristen

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

  • Grandma Judy

You started my day off with a smile. Thank you!

    Love to you.

  • Got to love those little boys. What was it you used to say? “They are full of business.”
