Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Sweet Boy#2 and Sweet Boy#3–Are playing with a new Big Boots truck set and they pretend that the action figures are named “Professor Calculus, Thompson, and Thompson”…someone has been reading too many TinTin books.

After watching Rise of the Guardians on his Momma Day, Sweet Boy#3 rushes around the house exclaiming–“I feel it in my Belly! I feet it in my Belly!”

But the winner this week…

Caring for sick boys is such a study in contrasts. My three guys all had the flu this week and during a single day they went from playing imaginary kitty games, wrestling, and sword fighting in the morning to informing me that they were “too sick for cartoons” by 1:00pm when they were only able to lay comatose with washrags on their heads on the couch. Then the Advil kicked in and they were screaming around the house playing demolition derby with their trucks and some kind of tragic bowling game which involved flinging their action figures across the kitchen.
