Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Well… one of my boys peed into the tub in defiance of our normal urination procedures, and one of them grabbed a pair of scissors and attacked his new backpack removing one of the straps in his anger, someone smashed a finger on a rock, and someone got dirt in his eye when his brother threw a dirt clot at his head, and I caught them spitting onto the hot cookie sheet in order to watch the spittle evaporate…even though our oven fries were also on the hot cookie sheet…but mostly this week was full of wonderful hiking experiences, and rain, lots and lots of rain. So glad we got to go hiking with the cousins. It was one of those experiences that not all families get to enjoy…or are determined enough to make happen and then enjoy the results. Camping is such a mix of hard hard work and beauty and satisfaction. Glad that we could give that to our boys and nephews and niece.

The boys rush for the tallest, slipperiest, most dangerous rock on the horizon

And here is our family…in all its glory!

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

So glad you guys had a good week! Hiking with family is awesome! And brings back many memories of youth group hikes 🙂
