Reading Tai-Bo

Reading Tai-Bo

In the last two weeks I have read six more Dani Ross Detective novels. Don’t look at me that way, I know that they are fluff. But it is such fun fluff and goes so fast and I totally love the characters. I also like the fact that there is such a diverse cast of characters, especially for a Christian novel. The author lived in New Orleans and that might play a part in it. There are smart, dumb, evil, honorable, coniving, faithful…you name it characters of every color and discription. He doesn’t cast one race as one type of person, everyone can be anything…just like life. And his descriptions of all the yummy New Orleans food make me want to go jump on a plane and visit. But besides some silly dialogue I also noticed that the main characters get a disturbing number of concussions. With what we are learning about the NFL and the ramifications of repeated concussions I am surprised that our protagonists can form sentences by the end of the series. Hmmm…I shoud check my own story. My protagonist is always getting beat up, I wonder how many concussions she has survived? Anyway, I love these books, and had a wonderful fortnight enjoying these favorites from my Jr. High years.

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!
