Ah yes, the feast of pink princess books continues this week with the reading of The Princess Diaries, Princess in the Spotlight and Princess Mia all by Meg Cabot. Wow those books go fast. I know, I know, I read them out of order. Book#1, book#2, and book#9. But if I’m in the mood for a certain type of book, I will often just order everything the author has written and then read the books in whatever order they happen to arrive from the library. These books are the gourmet jelly beans of the literary world, sure sure, they may not be shrimp Alfredo and champagne (The Road), or Belgian truffles (InkHeart), but they taste wonderful and disappear fast. Fun fun reads, although again, a bit racy at times with the authentic teen voice and talk of “BOYS!” and whatnot.
