This week, spurred on by my oldest boy who was totally getting into the book, I secretly finished Anne of Green Gables without the boys because this book is just that good. Don’t fret, I shall go back and read it to them as well. But I couldn’t wait that long. I’d forgotten what an amazing book this is. Written over 100 years ago, LM Montgomery just draws her characters with such authenticity that they come alive and breathe. I got all 8 of the Anne books for .99 cents on my Nook and wanted to rush ahead and read all of them, but some library books came so I will come back to Anne later. It is good to know that you have a good friend waiting for you, for library books come and go, but a book that is your own is ever faithful. Unless ones husband steals ones Nook…
