I took a long Christmas break from writing this year, over a week. I haven’t done that in years. Usually I take Christmas day and occasionally Christmas Eve off, but this year I finished up a three month revision right before Christmas and a break from my story just felt right. So I stayed up later than 9:45 pm every night. Worked on our photo album, read books, read more books, got a cold, then got the flu. It was delightful, the reading part. And I am coming back to “work” feeling refreshed and nearly flu free. Yeah me, now if only I can keep my boys from getting it, of course they all got flu shots so perhaps all will be well.
