This week I worked on revising my YA Mexico Mission trip manuscript, sent out ARCs (Advanced Reader Copies) of Copenhagen Cozenage to a few bloggers who want to do a post about it on the 25th, and I finished the 3 author tasks in my “My Tasks” folder on Pelican Book Group’s author web site so that I can begin the editing process for Athens Ambuscade.

What were my three author tasks?

I’m glad you asked.

First I filled out the manuscript information sheets. This document has everything from what name you want to appear on the cover of the book, to your back cover blurb, to your author bio. Then I filled out ten book discussion questions and my own answers to them. Then I filled out the Cover Art Sheets. This information is all that the person making my cover will look at when they do their work. I filled out information about the setting and time of year, what my heroine looks like, what my hero looks like, what is the most important element of the story for the cover…

Then I submitted my three tasks to my editor and opened a new file for a new story.
