This week I revised the first 25 pages of one of my YA manuscripts according to my critique partner Jenn’s fabulous feedback and then entered those pages in the Rosemary Contest. It is a YA contest that is organized by the YARWA every year. Since I signed the contract for Copenhagen Cozenage to be published, I am not eligible to enter the Genesis contest any more. But entering a contest every year is exciting and has helped me grow so much as a writer that I had to find another contest. The Rosemary is for unpublished manuscripts, regardless of whether the author has published something else, so it was a perfect fit. Now my first 25 pages are stronger and I will have some excellent feedback from the judges to make it better still.

Then I finished revising my Athens romance idea for the last time on my own. I added 2,238 new words this week and some wonderful new info about Athens from the relative of a friend who actually lives there. After working on some Greek recipes and taste testing them, yes they are yummy, I submitted the ms. to my editor. In about 3.5 to 6 months I should know if she likes it. Here’s to hoping.
