The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Princess Leia stole the fancy bow off of Sweet Boy#3’s package and ran away with it to shouts of horror from all three boys. Bows are in high demand. They can become imaginary pet porcupines and stuff!

I had a dream that one of the boys climbed up to the top of the basketball hoop (a possible scenario) and fell down onto the asphalt (also possible) resulting in a huge compound fracture to his femur (another realistic concern)…and then he promptly turned into a large dog (hmmm…) and asked if he would have to go to the vet instead of the hospital. I took him to the vet and promptly woke up.

The three boys and I went caroling at the nursing home with our AWANA club this week. When we were singing silent night, and came to the line “round yon virgin” Sweet Boy#3 slowly paced round me in time to the music. When the music continued with “mother and child” he beamed up at me, giving me a special smile. Yep, I’m his mom and he’s my special guy…but I think he might be just a little bit confused about some of the lyrics…here and there.
