Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Sweet Boy#2–Bursts into tears and hides under the table at AWANA when I tell him that he can’t work on a third section because AWANA is over.

Sweet Boy#2–The Hunky Hubby sticks a big sticker onto the back of his neck. He tries to get it off but has difficulty, I offer to take it off quickly “So that it won’t hurt as much.” I rip it off quickly, it pulls out a bunch of tender little neck hairs and makes him cry.

Sweet Boy#1–Leaves Sweet Boy#2 at Grammy’s by himself before he can carry in some firewood and earn a treat. Crying Sweet Boy#2 runs after him and so we all return to do wood so that my other boys can earn treats as well. Then as I am saying goodbye to Grammy, the two older boys climb up onto the carport roof. When I demand their immediate return to the ground Sweet Boy#1 pushes past his brother to jump from the carport roof to the wood shed roof and almost shoves Sweet Boy#2 off the roof. Sweet Boy#2 is terrified and can barely make himself unfreeze in order to get down to safety. Much discipline occurs…

Sweet Boy#2–Takes all of my Sleepytime and Vanilla Sleepytime and puts them into a box for his secret fort that will house his friends and family in case of an emergency. It is almost impossible to separate these two teas by smell in order to replace them.

Sweet Boy#2–We have been looking for the keys to Grandma Judy and Grandpa Dave’s house for probably 6 months. Whenever people come up to stay in their house we are forever bumbling about the house and realizing that we no longer have them. I just found them last night. In Sweet Boy#2’s Special Keeps drawer.

Friday, ‘Mine Favorite’ day of your blog. Love to hear about all the ‘happenings’. Somehow, I feel special that #2 thought our house key were so special. Hmmm, did he know what the key went to???

    Love to you.
