Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

The Harrowing/Heartwarming Parent Moment of the Week

Sweet Boy#3–Pushes an enormous watermelon off the cutting board, it falls to the floor and cracks all the way down the middle.

I put all three boys in bed, then go to the bathroom to wash my hair. They all sneak out and run around the house drinking coffee creamer until I can rush into my clothes in order to come out and wreak consequences upon them.

The Boys go racing in toward the bathtub from the sports court. Sweet Boy#1 rushes ahead and grabs a full bowl of dog water and quickly chucks it at his brother’s head in order to keep the lead.

The boys acquire and dump out 1/2 a box of cheerios onto our coffee table and proceed to eat them like wild animals.

Sweet Boy#1–At 9:00 at night we discover him awake and up…organizing his socks.

Sweet Boy#2–Sees Sweet Boy#3 sleeping peacefully with his little arm flopped out over his pillow…and therefore sneaks out and gets a tube of blue toothpaste and fills that hand full to the brim.

Sweet Boy#3–For his goodnight song, he requests that I sing him “Shiver my timbers” from the muppet Treasure Island movie. I discover that the singing of “Shiver my timbers” does not settle anyone down for rest but riles them up into a piratey frenzy. Even long after the song is over, as I am singing “Hark the Herold Angels Sing” to Sweet Boy#1 I can still hear a cute little falsetto voice from the bottom bunk softly singing “There’s murder in the air, murder in the air, murder in the air….”

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

I have shared this funny picture and story with many of my friends. They loved it! I also need to watch that Muppet Movie with your boys so I can learn that wonderful, piratey song.

    Love to you.
