This week I read The Selection and The Elect by Kiera Cass. These are a new slant on the classic Cinderella/Esther story. A fun, well written, girls YA. This is a secular book and the characters get more exuberant with their making out than what you would want to see in a Christian book or um…your own children’s dating habits, but still an enjoyable read. She does swing you back and forth back and forth between the two guys and you have no idea who to love and who to hate. I’m hoping that the author will make this clear in her final book though. All in all, I enjoyed these fast paced princess books.
