Photo Book

The months of December and January are crazy for many reasons. But for me the most trying event of the season is the construction of our yearly photo book.

I hate scrapbooking, but absolutely love pictures. And making our photo albums online is a good option for me. But I still hate it. I have to give up my single hour of rest time in the evenings to and as I’m always procrastinating, I end up having to do the whole thing in one mad dash right before winkflash has their big sale in January.

But the sale makes me actually finish. In desperation to save money, I slave away fixing red-eye and arranging photos in our virtual book until late late in the night. On the final day of the sale I stayed up so late that I had to skip writing the next day and was actually physically ill from lack of sleep.

But I got it done! Almost 100 pages of beautiful photos bound up in a bright silver binding, payed for and ordered just in time for the sale. I saved $120 dollars on my photo book this year because I made it in time for the sale, and only paid about $46. I can’t tell you how great a feeling it is to have that task completed.

Now we await the mail carrier, knowing that a whole year of my boys trials and joys is perserved within the binding of that book. It was worth it, not fun, but worth it.

I promise you a crazed animal, a concussion, and a kiss in every single book...you're welcome!

WAHOO!! Way to go!!! Glad that you met the deadline. Kept meaning to ask you, but forgot. The story of my life these days.

    Love to you.

  • Oh, I so do that too! (the staying up late to make the sale thing) And all I’m working on is 3 months at a time of baby book albums!
Not to mention that I’m like 8 years behind in my regular scrapbooking… 🙂 But I do enjoy the design process a little more than it sounds like you do!
